Seda Turan-Yahne is a product of the often rollicking and roiling melting pot known as "The Region," also known as Northwest Indiana, where many cultures are juxtaposed into a unique environment all its own. Born and raised in Dyer, Indiana, Seda attended Indiana University in Bloomington (B.A., 1995), where she honed her skills with a concentration in fine arts and graphic design.
Seda returned home, applying the skills and talents developed in Bloomington to pursue a career path in graphic design. Seda lives in St. John, Indiana and serves as a co-owner of the Hammond based businesses ds303 and Merge Marketing. As the first generation daughter of Turkish parents, her works explore colors and textures influenced by her rich and diverse cultural heritage and her "Region" sensibilities.
