A self-taught artist, Ish Muhammad graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He grew up in East Chicago, and was part of the East Chicago graffiti art scene during the 1980s. Now he creates "post-graffiti abstracts." He describes them as an evolution of graffiti writing practices reformatted for a larger audience.
